Sintering is the final process step where the powder particles are compacted and form a solid part through the application of heat without melting.
Due to physics, the sintering process can distort or even destroy your parts when not done properly. Some geometries cannot be manufactured with sinter based Powder Metallurgy technologies.
Element22 developed a sophisticated simulation tool to predict microscopic effects on parts during the sinter process. A multiphysics finite element approach is used to determine warpage of the part due to gravity and friction with the sinter plate.
This helps upfront, to design a stable part and possibly sinter support structures. Upon request we can perform a simulation of your part and analyze the risk of warpage. The results are presented within a pdf-document.
